What is Divine Spatializer?

Divine Spatializer is a binaural 3D spatializer plug-in for macOS (VST3, AU and Standalone) made by Sacred Audio. A binaural 3D panner with sacred geometry as the map. Your sound walks the Tree of Life or circles the head along Metatron's Cube, and every sphere it reaches colours it. It costs 33 € including VAT and runs free for 14 days, and is part of the Temple bundle (all four plug-ins for 77 €).

The Tree of Life as a 3D audio path? Read the guide

Sound walks the Lightning Flash down the Tree of Life, rises up the Middle Pillar through the listener's spine, or circles the head along the edges of Metatron's Cube.

Each stop changes the sound, not only its position: resonators tuned to Cousto's planetary tones, tilt, space and afterglow. Steps lock to your song from one beat to eight bars, or move with automation.

Walk the Tree of Life

Five routes: Lightning Flash, Serpent of Wisdom, Middle Pillar descent and ascent, and Caduceus ascent. The sound rests at each station, then travels the path to the next.

Paths move by their letter

Each path moves the sound by its Hebrew letter. Mother letters glide, sway or flicker, double letters ease by their planet, and single letters start sharp, run steady or waver.

Metatron's Cube orbits

Eight orbits around the head: the Merkaba star tetrahedron, the five Platonic solids, the cuboctahedron and all 78 lines. Each solid has a Cousto root tone, with Spin, Axis tilt and Arc.

Merkaba, Torus and Torus field

Two copies counter-rotate around you, Sun above and Moon below, at 0.5 to 240 rpm. Or the sound flows through a torus, scaled from atom to galaxy, as one stream or up to 12.

Sephirah colour

Resonators tuned to each sephirah's Cousto tone, a tilt bright above and earthy below, a space that opens toward the Supernals, and an optional tone at each station. Afterglow keeps visited stations sounding.

Sync, Free or Manual

Lock steps to the song from 1 beat to 8 bars, set 0.5 to 60 seconds per step for meditation, or automate Position. Click a station to park the sound there.

In the studio

Put Divine Spatializer after a pad, a drone, a vocal or an arp and pick a tempo-synced preset. Fast flash for drops and Metatron's 78 lines move the sound on every bar or beat, while the Torus field turns one sustained sound into up to 12 moving copies for a breakdown. Automate Position to place a sound exactly, and use Width to keep Binaura's beat intact as it moves.

In the healing room

Set Time to Free and walk the Tree slowly, 20 seconds a station in Serpent ascent meditation, or let the Middle Pillar ascent rise through the spine. Click any sephirah to rest there as long as you like, and let Afterglow keep the visited stations softly sounding. Run a bowl, a voice or Binaura through it and listen on headphones.

How it's built

The modelling, the research and the choices behind Divine Spatializer.

How does it place sound in 3D?

With a parametric binaural model: a time difference between the ears of up to about 0.66 ms, a head shadow that darkens the far ear down to about 1.7 kHz, a pinna notch that moves with height, a presence lift in front and a softer top behind, plus air absorption and a small room. It does not use measured HRTF data yet. HRTF and Ambisonics output are next on the roadmap.

How are the routes built?

The Tree of Life is laid out in 3D with its 22 paths. On Metatron's Cube, each solid's orbit is a Hamiltonian cycle around the head, and "all 78 lines" is an Eulerian circuit that travels every line exactly once, found with Hierholzer's algorithm.

How do you check it?

Tests on every build: Tiphareth on the Middle Pillar is centred to within 0.5 dB; Chesed reaches the right ear first and more than 1.4 times louder; Kether is brighter than Malkuth; motion never jumps more than 6 cm per step; and a binaural input keeps its two ears apart, so Binaura's beats pass straight through.

Why does the Middle Pillar sound inside the head?

In our map Kether, Da'at, Tiphareth, Yesod and Malkuth lie along the listener's spine, so those spheres sound inside the body rather than around it. Where Kether and Da'at should sit exactly is still an open design question we keep listening to.

Does Divine Spatializer work in Ableton Live, Logic Pro and FL Studio?

Yes. Divine Spatializer is a VST3 and Audio Unit plug-in, so it works in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Bitwig Studio, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One and other macOS hosts that load VST3 or AU. It also runs as a standalone app without a DAW.

Is there a free trial of Divine Spatializer?

Yes. Divine Spatializer runs fully for 14 days from the first time you open it. Create a free account to download it. After the trial it keeps working, but the sound dips to silence for a few seconds every minute until you enter a licence key.

How much does Divine Spatializer cost?

33 € including VAT, a one-time purchase with no subscription. It is also part of the Temple bundle: all four Sacred Audio plug-ins for 77 €.

Does Divine Spatializer need headphones?

Its binaural 3D effect is strongest on headphones. On speakers you still hear the movement left and right and in depth.

Does Divine Spatializer run on Windows?

Not yet. The plug-ins run on macOS 11 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Windows versions are coming.
