Platonic Solids
Five elements, turning in your signal.
A Platonic solid turns in the signal path and every corner becomes a voice: a delay tap, a resonator or a grain. Where it sits on the solid sets its time, pan, pitch and level.

Key features
- Five solids: 4, 6, 8, 12 or 20 voices
- Delay, Resonator and Grain modes
- Transmute between elements; Dual blends a solid into its dual
- Kepler mode nests all five: 50 voices on five shells
- Spin free to 20 Hz or synced to 1ā8 bars
- Vertices tuned to Pythagorean, Cosmic Octave or equal temperament
What is Platonic Solids?
Platonic Solids is a sacred geometry delay, resonator and granular effect plug-in from Sacred Audio, coming soon for macOS (VST3, AU and Standalone). A Platonic solid turns in the signal path and every corner becomes a voice: a delay tap, a resonator or a grain. Where it sits on the solid sets its time, pan, pitch and level.
Fire, air, water, earth and aether: the five solids Plato gave the elements. Platonic Solids turns one of them in your signal path.
Every vertex is a voice. Spin the solid and the echoes move around you, or transmute it by Plato's rules from one element to the next.
Geometry sets the sound
Each vertex's position on the solid sets its delay time, pan, pitch and level. Drag the solid to turn it.
Prime Wheel
Snaps the taps to the eight prime spokes of a 24-gon for grooves that lock to the beat.
For the healing room
A vowel for each element and a bed of sustained tuning forks. Every preset carries an intention you can rewrite.
How it's built
The modelling, the research and the choices behind Platonic Solids.
How does geometry become sound?
Every vertex of the turning solid is a voice. Its depth sets the delay time, left and right set the pan, height sets the pitch, and facing you sets the level. When you morph between solids with different numbers of corners, the nearest vertices are matched and voices split or merge.
What are the sources?
Plato's Timaeus (53cā57d): fire, air and water share the same triangle and turn into one another; earth only settles, so morphing out of earth is slowed. Kepler's Mysterium Cosmographicum (1596): the five solids nested as shells, 50 voices. Pythagorean C = 256 tuning, Cousto's Cosmic Octave, and the 24-gon prime wheel with its eight prime spokes.
What did you leave out?
We found no sourced chart that links Solfeggio tones to the solids, so we don't ship one.
