What is Conjurer?
Conjurer is a arrangement assistant app for Ableton Live 12 from Sacred Audio, coming soon for macOS. Describe a track in one line and Conjurer writes it into your Ableton Live set: tempo, key, parts, every clip from intro to outro and a first mix. Then change it in plain words.
Type "full-on psytrance, 145, F#, dark and rolling" and Conjurer builds it in the Live set you have open: locators, tracks, your own instruments and every clip from intro to outro.
Then talk to it. "Second drop darker." "One more like that." It places the Sacred Audio instruments where they belong and checks the mix with one-click fixes.
Plain words
Ask for three takes of a section, a darker drop or a surprise. Conjurer edits the set, not a copy.
Your sounds
It picks from your own Live presets, so the track sounds like your studio.
Fast
Talks to Live through its own Remote Script, so a full build takes seconds.
How it's built
The modelling, the research and the choices behind Conjurer.
How does it arrange?
A rule engine built from psytrance co-production rules: drain, silence or slam into a drop; bring the bass back first in the rebuild; change the groove by taking things away; a K-B-B-B sub roll between about 39 and 58 Hz.
How does it read a reference track?
It finds the tempo from the kick onsets, the downbeat from changes every 8 bars, and the sections from the energy below 110 Hz and between 110 and 250 Hz.
Does it change my sound?
It only moves faders, pans and sends. No EQ, compressor or filter is ever added, and it uses your own Live presets.
